Protecting Yourself Legally (A National Coalition for Sexual Freedom lecture) and "Ask The Lawyer" with Robyn Friedman.

Individuals who practice various forms of alternative sexual expression, especially the SM/Leather/Fetish Communities, have always had some level of concern regarding the issues of privacy, discretion, and personal security. The Radical Right, employers, ex-partners/spouses, and others may pose threats to these concepts. Many times their motivation comes from ignorance, but motivations like custody of children, and revenge are also becoming commonplace. This presentation provides tips for protecting yourself legally under various circumstances.

This workshop is offered for a sliding scale donation. Donations will benefit the FSPC and the NCSF. No one will be turned away for lack of funds.

Where: Annex
When: 7pm - 9pm
Suggested donation at the door: $20

After the NCSF lecture, we will use the remaining time for "Ask the Lawyer."

Robyn Friedman, a local attorney here in the Seattle area, will be happy to answer some of those legal questions that have been running through your brain, with the caveat that she will only be speaking in generalities, and nothing discussed should be construed as "legal advice. You are encouraged to email your questions ahead of time to education@thefspc.org so that Robyn has the opportunity to do any research necessary to give you the most informative answer possible.
