"World jazz with urbane cool." Join multilingual vocalist Allison Adams Tucker from Southern California on a musical journey as she celebrates the release of her second CD “April in Paris” – songs of springtime and new beginnings from around the world. The album was recorded in Paris on UNESCO’s 1st International Jazz Day at the end of her last Europe tour, including international musicians and arrangers from 5 countries. One of the arrangers is Seattle's own Brazilian pianist Jovino Santos Neto.

With a voice “supple as silk and smooth as cashmere” (eJazzNews), and “mesmerizing, whether in English, Japanese, French” (GirlSingers.org), Allison Adams Tucker creates a unique montage of jazz-driven melodies and rhythms in 6 languages that is turning heads. From Brazilian to straight ahead, French chansons to Mediterranean and beyond– ”expect the unexpected.” (Scott Yanow, LA Jazz Scene)

Allison’s debut CD “Come With Me” (Allegato Music 2008), co-produced by jazz guitarist Peter Sprague (Dianne Reeves, Chick Corea, Sergio Mendes) and arranged by Kamau Kenyatta (Gregory Porter, Hubert Laws, Earl Klugh, Patti Austin), received international acclaim, was nominated for Best Jazz Album 2009 by the San Diego Music Awards, and continues to receive airplay on radio stations in 18 countries. Allison’s voice can be heard on national commercials and video games, and her interpretation of “La Vie En Rose” is one to the top downloads on iTunes, Pandora, and Spotify worldwide.

Allison performs regularly for audiences in Japan, Europe, Mexico, and around the US, and is joined for this Seattle performance by:
Jovino Santos Neto - piano/sax
Chuck Deardorf - bass
Mark Ivester - drums
& special guests!
