Seattle Rock Orchestra presents New Works for Orchestra
Seattle Rock Orchestra performs an original program of all new rock-inspired orchestral music that will take listeners on a joyride through rock'n'roll history. Scored by SRO's in-house composition team and other local composers, each piece will explore the musical motifs of a different decade or genre in pop music. The evening will culminate with performances of music from Beck's new "album" Song Reader, which are likely to be some of the first public performances of songs from his just-released collection of sheet music. This fun show throws traditional concert etiquette out the window and will have the audience singing and clapping along.
