Seattle Made Tour & Tasting

Join us during Seattle Made Week to sip and tour the production facilities of some of your favorite locally produced drinks!   

We'll start at Rooftop Brewing's event space and move from there in groups of 15 to tour and sample from Ladro Roasting, Rooftop Brewing, and Fast Penny Spirits. Ladro Roasting and Rooftop Brewing share a production space and Fast Penny Spirits are just around the corner!

Tours at each production facility will last 20 minutes and will include a sample of two drinks. Between tours, we will meet at the Rooftop Brewing event space to reconnect before the next tour and sample offerings from more Seattle Made members. 

Sampling from Seattle Made members include: Honest Biscuit, Firefly Kitchens, Elsom Cellars, Seattle Sorbets, Marination, and Fuse Sauces!

Rooftop Brewing event space bar and fast Penny Spirits bottle shop will both be open for cash/card bar service throughout the event. 

Rooftop Brewing
Rooftop Brewing is a Seattle-based craft brewery, founded in 2012 and open to the public for the first time in 2013. They make small-batch, artisan beers emphasizing quality, approachability, and just a little bit of whimsy. They have fun with their brews, making beer that is meant to be enjoyed surrounded by friends and fresh air.

Ladro Roasting
Now a Seattle coffee institution, Caffe Ladro opened its first location on Upper Queen Anne in 1994. People often ask about the company name origin. Caffe Ladro is Italian for coffee thief. When they opened up right next to Starbucks, they intended to pinch their customers with the best Seattle coffee and staff they could find.

In 2000, Caffe Ladro was the largest chain in the country, serving only Fair Trade coffee in their cafes. Later, in 2011, they launched Ladro Roasting. The division of the company sources green coffees through relationships with coffee farmers and millers. It also roasts all the coffee it purchases at their Seattle coffee roastery (which you'll get to see on your tour!)

Fast Penny Spirits
Fast Penny Spirits is a distillery in Seattle focusing on creating high-quality amaro using organic and wild-crafted ingredients under the Amaricano brand. Rooted in complexity, but encouraging ease, Amaricano is a perfect intersection of tradition and modernity. Fast Penny is defined by everyday decisions that impact the greater good through sustainability and empowerment of women and community.

Seattle Made
All of the featured businesses for this event are Seattle Made members! Seattle Made is a collaboration of over 650 urban producers and manufacturers working together to find and share the resources they need to 'make it' in Seattle! Seattle Made is a program on the nonprofit organization Seattle Good Busines Network. 

Our 7th annual Seattle Made Week runs October 10 - 17th, 2021. Join us for a weeklong celebration of products made right here in Seattle and the talented people who make them. This year’s events include a Seattle Made pop-up shop, production space tours, tastings, and maker classes!

Example Tour Scheule: 

5 - 5:30 pm: check-in, enjoy samples from Seattle Made members, hear from owners of Ladro Roasting, Rooftop Brewing, and Fast Penny Spirits, and Seattle Made program manager. 

5:30 - 5:50: Tour Ladro Roasting production facility and enjoy samples 

5:50 - 6:00: Regroup at Rooftop Brewing event space 

6:00 - 6:20: Tour Rooftop Brewing production facility and enjoy samples 

6:20 - 6:30: Regroup at Rooftop Brewing event space 

6:30 - 6:50: Enjoy samples and connect with Seattle Made members in the Rooftop event space 

6:50 - 7:00: Regroup at Rooftop Brewing event space 

7:00 - 7:20: Tour Fast Penny Spirits production facility and enjoy samples 

7:20 - 8:00: Enjoy samples and connect with Seattle Made members in the Rooftop event space 


This is a 21+ event. All guests must be Covid vaccinated to attend. We will require proof of vaccination at the door. 

The event is primarily indoors but the event space has large garage doors that will be open allowing for good airflow. 

The event will be hosted at the production spaces of Ladro Roasting, Rooftop Brewing, and Fast Penny Spirits on Nickerson St. in north Queen Anne, just east of the Ballard Bridge.

Complimentary parking is available in the Rooftop Brewing parking lot, neighboring side streets, or the neighboring Greenhome lot after 5 pm.
