Max and Lover's Lair Present Easy Rope, Sexy Play

Rope is beautiful, powerful, iconic. Many kinksters start their BDSM voyage with rope, and no wonder - it's an easy way to manifest power, extend touch, and thrill to the joy of ropy sensation.

Workshop format

This workshop begins with a demo and an overview of rope bondage techniques and materials. We include some "show and tell" items and pointers on buying appropriate bondage materials.

The remainder of the class is a hands-on workshop, full of useful knots and easy-to-tie positions. By the end of the workshop you will have some basic skills and will be able to do elementary ties with grace and confidence.

We will be speaking to both tops and bottoms, as there are skills to learn for both roles.

If you can, come with a practice partner. If you don't have a partner, come anyway and we'll make sure you get a chance to practice the basic techniques and/or get tied a bit as you desire.

Some rope will be provided for the workshop, but bring the following if you can:

• (1) 10-foot piece of 6mm or 8mm
• (1) 30-foot piece of 6mm or 8mm

As always, the emphasis is on learning and having fun.

Who should attend?

No prior knowledge of bondage or knots is assumed for this class - it's perfectly appropriate for beginners. If you've already done some bondage it's a great way to tune up your technique.

This workshop assumes no previous BDSM experience and is appropriate for all genders, all orientations, and for both tops and bottoms.

You may attend alone or with a partner. Please buy a ticket for each attendee.
Rope Bottoms - this is your chance to meet some rope tops - come learn and get tied up! 

Afterwards

Attendees will receive an illustrated handout full of principles, safety information, basic technique, and plenty of pictures and instruction to help you practice the knots and ties in this workshop.

Attendees will also receive a 20% discount for purchases at Lover's Lair.

Max will be available after the workshop to help you shop for rope and bondage gear.

Max has been active in Seattle's kink community since 1992 and has taught workshops and offered private coaching since 1999. He is nourished and guided by his strong roots in the kink, queer, leather and poly communities.
