In the Erotic Movement Lab at SEAF, we believe that people shouldn't just view erotic art, they should bear witness to themselves AS erotic art. We believe in giving you the space to experiment, play, and explore the canvas that is your body. Join us for two days of workshops where YOU become the art, using sensual movement and dance as your medium. EVERYONE is welcome—- no matter your experience level, gender, body type, etc. This event listing includes Sunday workshops only—- check out our Saturday offerings here.

This year, our amazing instructors will guide you into movement-based exploration of what it means to view yourself as erotic art through the lens of different identities, archetypes, or even the celebration of a specific part of your body. And back by popular demand, we'll have multiple lap-dance and partner-focused workshops.  As each workshop is unique, we encourage exploration. Our multi-workshop pass allows you to select ANY 4 Erotic Movement Lab workshops of your choosing; you can even mix Saturday and Sunday workshops! Single workshop passes are also available. 

The Erotic Movement Lab at SEAF workshops are curated as an opportunity for attendees to experiment and experience sensual movement and body play, deepening your understanding and appreciation of the eroticism of you, exactly as you are. Sunday Workshop Descriptions:

Workshop 1: Body Worship (Eve, 11a - 12p)

Come home to your body through the art of sensual touch in this prompt based somatic workshop. Focus on healing your relationship to touching body and finding pleasurable ways to play with touch while you dance. Connect with yourself with confidence, curiosity, and joy. This is a safe space to explore the power of touch during dance- while always honoring your boundaries. This is workshop is also great if you feel disconnected from your hands in your dance. Wear something you fool REALLY good in, something comfortable to move in.

Workshop 2: Intuitive Lap Dance (Eve, 12:15 - 1:15p)

Did you know you are completely capable of summoning your erotic power and cultivating your own lap dance spell? Well you fuckin are. This lap dance workshop is VERY different than most, I won’t be giving you choreo but don’t be afraid! It is designed to help you tap into the erotic power you already hold and to unleash it with your partner. We forget that we are powerful beings with this nasty and delicious energy surging within us- whether or not you believe it doesn’t change that it’s there. We tap into this well of filthy energy and walk through how to curate a mutually pleasurable lap dance experience for you and your partner. This isn’t about you doing this lap dance to them, or servicing your partner, this is about harnessing the power of your shared connection and making fucking magic together. Let’s stop acting like we aren’t powerful erotic magicians and share in this beautiful act of sacred seduction together. 

Wear something you feel sexy in that you can move in, ask your partner to wear soft bottoms like sweats- avoid zippers and buttons they hurt lol, high heels only if you feel comfortable dancing in them.

Workshop 3: Summon the Sluts aka StS (Eve, 2:15 - 3:15p) 

This workshop helps you summon your inner slut and discover your unique slutty vibe. We will work through a few simple and FILTHY moves and shapes to serve as base ingredients for your slut spell. Once those feel solid, we will begin uncovering what your erotic energy is- are you dominant, playful, creepy hoe, weird, awkward baddie, flirtatious, commanding, shy? Once we tap into what your erotic style is- we will explore how to convey it with your body, your interactions with your environment, and your energy. Let's ignite your unique vibe and infuse it into these moves, making this dance your very own slut summoning spell! Wear something you feel REALLY sexy in and that you can move in.

Workshop 4: Harnessing Your Inner Feline (Judas Saint James, 3:30-4:30p)

This class is about how to approach movement through your own personal feline energy. Participants will have the opportunity to learn about some of the mythical origins of feline deities in Africa and Egypt with a special focus on Bastet. Bastet is a Kemetic (Egyptian) goddess of cats, sensuality, pleasure, dance and healing. Many of these things fall under movement and performance art. Understanding her energy and how we can tap into it as people and performers will be at the core of this class. This class is about embracing and validating individuality and inner confidence and then applying it through slow burn movements and audience interaction. While movement will be part of this class, Harnessing Your Inner Feline focuses on looking inward and exploring your own energetics around eroticism and sensuality.
