Time: 10 am – 12 pm
Starting and ending location:
Verdant Health Commission
4710 196th St SW, Lynnwood, WA 98036
Join us for an interactive walk. We’ll stop at seven locations in Lynnwood to hear from leaders from Verdant Health Commission, City of Lynnwood, Washington State Department of Transportation, Community Transit, and Sound Transit about the future plans for the neighborhood. Learn how walking will play an important role in the design and development of healthy, safe and connected places where people live, work, and play.
Speakers:
Lisa Quinn, Feet First
Dustin Akers, City of Lynnwood
Roland Behee, Community Transit
Carol Hunter, Washington State Department of Transportation
Gwen McCullough, Sound Transit
From the arrival of new businesses, the future light rail station, faster bus service, and an update to the City’s Trail Master Plan, there are exciting changes ahead for Lynnwood. Your voice is critical to the conversation and will help shape the Accessibility Plan.
The short walk will end with a light reception in which community members will interact with presenters to provide feedback on a plan to make it more accessible to the future light rail station and surrounding areas.
We hope to see you there!
