Climate Science on Tap presents
Ask a Scientist!
From Cascadia Climate Action
The 2019 Ask a Scientist — an annual fundraiser for the Climate Science on Tap series — will again be bringing a fascinating variety of scientists, engineers, energy experts, and others to answer your perplexing questions around climate change, its causes, impacts, and solutions. Adding to the fun of discussions over beer and food in the Lagunitas beer sanctuary, the hands-on demonstrations of the science of ocean acidification, global warming, and extreme weather events and a climate bingo game with prizes will be fun for all ages!
Come Ask a Scientist a question that has been puzzling you or join an engrossing conversation underway; enjoy meeting your neighbors and building some climate camaraderie, too. This fundraiser will support the work of Cascadia Climate Action* in putting on these Climate Science on Tap events that bring the evidence and science out into the community to inspire action. Increase your appreciation and understanding of the coming climate crisis and then link up with organizations and individuals hard at work on climate solutions. The nice thing to keep in mind is that working together to reverse climate change inspires optimism, too!
These events are wholly volunteer-driven and put on for the good of the community and the planet! All welcome regardless of ability to pay Come enjoy and learn how we all can make a difference! In addition, all scientists volunteer their time and expertise at this event, so show your support for their efforts and those of Cascadia Climate Action* to put on the Climate Science on Tap series, buy a scientist a beer!
